Velleca beats frosh goaltender Milner over the shoulder

Alrighty, wow sorry about this long hiatus....the LSATs had officially taken over my life. I am back and in full force. From here on out (at least until finals mid December ;) ) I will be posting much much more frequently!!

As I'm sure some of you have noticed, Merrimack Hockey is making quite the name for itself this year. They are 5-0 at home with decisive big lead wins over ranked opponents such as Vermont and Boston College.

We lost this game 4-3 at Boston College on 10/30 but came back home to beat them 5-3 at Lawler Arena.

This was the first of three straight Merrimack goals in the first period. Velleca beat freshman goaltender Milner over the shoulder to cut the lead to 2-1.

What I like about this picture:

Some people may not like the wide crop, but I think it makes for an interesting composition. Standard 4:6 aspect ratio gets old. Honestly I think I may try to see what it looks like even narrower. Would make for a cool long framed picture to hang above my desk.

I also like that the BC forward near the net is covering up the "." in bceagles.com....everyone who has shot at Conte knows that thing is like the biggest pain the behind for goal shots as it closely resembles a hockey puck :)
